Key Responsibilities- Supplier Management: Identify and develop relationships with high-quality suppliers to drive competitive edge for the business.
- Cost Reduction: Focus on reducing costs and negotiating the best deals whilst improving quality and supply.
- Inventory Management: Daily ordering of materials and arranging timely delivery based on supply chain demands.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activity conforms to best practice and Company ethics, principles, and processes.
- Crisis Management: Work with the Production teams in the event of a critical supply shortage risk.
- Risk Management: Escalate perceived risks and actual non-conformities in real time.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyse data to identify problems and trends to determine areas for performance improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Provide analysis and insight to inform the annual planning and budgeting process including creation of performance benchmarks.
- Process Improvement: Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiencies, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
- Experience: Experience in procurement or related industries highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Ability to learn and adapt quickly to MRP systems.
- Software Skills: Fully conversant with MS Office software, especially Excel.
- Methodologies: Strong in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across multiple levels of the organisation.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical, organised, and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability: Able to function well in a high-paced, demanding environment.
- Education: Educated to at least A-level; CIPS advantageous.
