Job Details

At Teaching Vacancies, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Beecroft Academy. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and SENDCo to provide an individualized curriculum and learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized learning plans and strategies to meet the needs of students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.

Requirements:
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo to provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
