About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Manager to join our team at BDHT / Bromsgrove District Housing Trust. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of gas engineers, multi-skilled trades operatives, and a gas scheduler to deliver our domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage a team of qualified gas engineers and multi-skilled trades operatives
  • Take responsibility for decision-making and operational management of the team
  • Deliver bdht's domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs
  • Ensure customer care is central to all activities, maintaining high standards and communicating effectively
  • Adhere to bdht's safe systems of work and working knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Produce and validate the annual gas servicing program and schedule appointments
  • Ensure the stock condition database is kept up to date
  • Provide written reports to the Senior Management Group, maintaining and presenting statistical records for reporting
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for providing excellent customer service, tailored to meet the needs of a diverse client base. You will have experience working within a gas delivery service, ideally within the social housing sector, and an understanding of gas compliance responsibilities. You will need to hold a gas management qualification (NVQ level 3 in gas management or similar) or be willing to achieve this within the first 2 years. You will also need to hold the following Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT CKR1, HRT1.
