About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to join our team at Aspect Healthcare. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families who are experiencing mental health crises.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to young people and their families in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community centers, and online.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the well-being and safety of young people and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, families, and community partners to promote trust, understanding, and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified mental health practitioner in a crisis intervention or CAMHS setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health theories, models, and interventions, including crisis management and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Current NMC registration and a valid DBS check.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
