Senior Cost Consultant

Our client, a leading building envelope contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Consultant to join their team. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost estimates, monitoring project costs, and ensuring alignment with budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for facade projects, including materials, labour, and other associated costs.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring alignment with budget expectations.
- Tender Review: Review project tender documents to assess risks, opportunities, and scope of work.
- Tender Preparation: Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for new projects, ensuring completeness and compliance with client requirements.
- Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive and accurate bids.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers.
- Variation Valuation: Value variations and manage claims related to changes in project scope, ensuring that all additional work is priced and authorized.
- Valuation and Payment: Prepare and submit interim and final valuations for projects, ensuring timely payments.
- Commercial Management: Manage commercial aspects of the contract, including reviewing payment terms, retention, and warranties.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment between cost estimations and project delivery.
- Client Relationship: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a point of contact for any commercial or contractual matters.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects, including contractual risks, cost overruns, and delays.
