Shift Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the team to deliver a seamless shopping experience for customers.
- Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to team members to improve their skills and performance.
- Monitor and analyze store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical actions to address them.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community, and charity events, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ensure the store is always clean, tidy, and well-presented, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Prioritize the replenishment of products that matter to our customers, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Proactively manage queues in store to deliver a great shopping experience for customers.
- Be knowledgeable about the store, coordinating others to deliver practical actions to improve performance.
- Look for ways to simplify operations and share ideas with the Store Manager.
- Understand what may be hindering great service and help to remove obstacles.
- Resolve colleagues' queries in the absence of the Store Manager, escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensure the store is staffed appropriately, reacting to short-term absences/sickness by finding cover for shifts.
- Be a recognized Keyholder for the store, attending alarm call-outs where necessary to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor and action internal communications, ensuring messages are acted upon in a timely manner and all colleagues are informed.
- Coordinate colleagues to meet customer needs and store operations, feeding back to the Store Manager on any issues.
- Balance time across service and replenishment areas of the store.
- Support the Store Manager in managing absence within the store, conducting return-to-work interviews and reporting absence triggers.
- Build meaningful relationships with the Area Manager and People Partner, escalating issues and seeking advice when needed.
