We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team at MTS Cleansing Services Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving and operating specialist jetting tankers, attending emergency call-out situations, and working on private and public land in accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers, including Super Suction Jetting Tankers and Combination Jetting Tankers
- Attend emergency call-out situations, dealing with sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution
- Work on private and public land, adhering to statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
- Ensure accurate documentation of all jobs
- Report defects, accidents, and near misses to the Line Manager
- Maintain the driver's log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
- Ensure PPE remains fit for purpose
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean and well-maintained
As a Drainage Engineer (SST), you will be responsible for understanding and complying with the company's health and safety policy, influencing a positive health and safety culture, and ensuring all works activities are carried out safely and in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
Qualifications and Competencies:- Class 2 driving license and CPC
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and receive instructions remotely
- Previous experience working with liquid waste products in the water utility or environmental services sector is desirable
- Knowledge of safe working in streetworks is preferred
