Treasury Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Treasury Associate to join our team at Mattioli Woods Group. As a key member of our Treasury team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial success of our organisation.
The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of tasks, from daily payment processing requirements to assisting with the development and active management of the group's cash and liquidity position, for both corporate and trustee balances in line with Treasury policy.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily Group cash and liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and reporting requirements, including liquidity management strategies.
- Contribute to multiple cash workstreams, including development and ownership of processes and related reporting as required.
- Manage bank account administration, including users and management and optimisation of Mattioli Woods' account structure.
- Process, review and authorise corporate and trustee related banking payments, to ensure delivery of a seamless client service.
- Manage new client requirements, analyse utilisation trends, and proactively drive remedial or improvement actions.
- Champion the team's risk management culture, ensuring procedures are fit for purpose, are documented and applied, and related controls are suitable and effective.
- Manage stakeholder relationships from both an internal and external perspective.
- At least 2-3 years working within treasury/financial services.
- Accounting/finance qualification (or equivalent).
- Understanding of banking and regulatory environment.
- Experience of relevant risk and banking governance, including compliance and business control aspects.
- Knowledge/experience of working in a corporate treasury environment.
- Experience in building and owning financial models.
- Analytical approach to work, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing at all levels.
- Numeracy with good IT skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
