About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team within our Environment Business. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing setting out/engineering control on site, ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations.
  • Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Produce D and D site sketches.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring and programming.
  • Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Control and minimise waste on site.
  • Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.
  • Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
  • Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in site engineering, preferably with experience in the water industry. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret data and drawings.
  • Confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Flexible attitude to work.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.

Technical / Professional Qualifications Required:

  • A working knowledge of one functional area through job experience or training.
  • SMSTS.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • Likely to have previous relevant business experience or transferable skills gained in other areas.
  • A Level/Higher or Equivalent.
