Job DescriptionHays Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including the Directors' report, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions, including scenario planning and business case preparation.
- Deal Review: Conduct thorough reviews of deals to ensure compliance with pricing thresholds and gross margin hierarchy approval.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and providing explanations for unexpected variances.
- Operational Efficiency: Investigate and understand operational expenses variances to budget, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Segment Budgeting: Oversee the segment budget process, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and reporting deadlines are met.
- Order and Shipment Reconciliation: Reconcile weekly orders, shipments, and backlog, demonstrating attention to detail and ability to reconcile large volumes of data.
- Education: Relevant accounting or financial degree and 4+ years of experience as a business analyst in a matrix organization.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with programs such as Oracle, SAP, or Hyperion, and excellent Excel skills, including macro writing.
- Communication Skills: Confident creating and executing presentations, and strong commercial judgment and acumen.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work autonomously and interact with various levels of a business.
