About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a key role in expanding our Care of the Elderly service and developing our frailty and geriatric services.
Key Responsibilities- Service Development: Contribute to the development of our Care of the Elderly service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and care.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and expertise to our team, ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our frailty and geriatric services.
- Education and Training: Participate in the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, sharing your expertise and knowledge to improve patient care.
- Research and Quality Improvement: Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, working with our team to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance patient care.

Requirements- Qualifications: MBBS or Basic Medical Degree, MRCP or equivalent, and full GMC registration.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to service development.
- Skills: Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
