The Role

We are seeking a skilled Science Technician to join our Science Department at a 'Good' Mainstream Secondary school in Hounslow. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our science laboratories, assisting with setting up practicals, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and potentially supporting Science Teachers during lessons.

About the School

Our school is a mixed foundation school with approximately 1600 pupils. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on academic achievement and personal growth. The school is easily accessible by car, with parking available on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with setting up practicals and maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the science laboratories.
  • Support Science Teachers during lessons, potentially assisting with demonstrations and experiments.
  • Work closely with the Head of Science and Science Teachers to ensure the smooth operation of the Science Department.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience as a Science Technician, preferably in a secondary school setting. You should also have a strong understanding of health and safety protocols in a school laboratory environment.
