Culinary Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Methodist Homes. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals to our residents, while maintaining the highest standards of nutrition, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare menus that cater to individual tastes and dietary requirements
• Manage a dedicated catering team to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintain accurate stock control and budgeting
• Ensure excellent customer service and relationships with residents and staff

About the Role:

This is a permanent, part-time position, working 22.5 hours per week, spread over 4 days. Some weekend work is required, approximately 1 weekend per month. The role involves a mix of cooking, team management, and administrative tasks, which can be flexible.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts
• Excellent planning, budgeting, and stock control skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
