As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service charge accounting function, including charge raising and receipting, bank reconciliations, database maintenance, SC budgets, year-end closures, and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review quarterly service charge accounts
  • Set up and manage tenant apportionments
  • Review current systems and enhance current service charge Excel and property system templates
  • Billing and charging tenants for balancing charges or credits
  • Review and assist with new budgets commentaries
  • Review and assist with end-of-year commentaries
  • General accounts payable overview
  • Prepare and oversee periodic budget variance analysis reports
  • Prepare and oversee the year-end service charge reconciliation
  • Prepare and oversee the multiple budget year-end reconciliations
  • Onboarding of leases and management agreements
  • Familiarity with property transition processes from development to operation
  • Maintaining accurate property and lease information on the property management database
  • Assisting the team with internal audit planning and review
  • Liaising with and working with external auditors to answer any queries
  • Completing the quarterly VAT/CIS returns to HMRC
  • Overseeing the treasury function (new account opening/rent deposit management)
  • Producing and reviewing bank reconciliations
