Maintenance Shift Supervisor

At WorkLyf Group Limited, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Shift Manager to oversee maintenance activities and ensure continuous operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance operatives, optimising equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist a team of maintenance operatives to complete tasks efficiently and according to schedule.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence in maintenance practices within the team.
- Implement the maintenance strategy to ensure the reliability and functionality of critical machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to plan maintenance activities, minimise disruptions, and optimise production efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies and initiate reordering as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and regulations related to maintenance activities.
- Oversee the usage and management of fuels, lubricants, and other fluids, implementing cost-effective strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment service histories.
- Update MAPCON as necessary.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and oversee works to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Carry out critical preventative and breakdown maintenance when needed.
- Ensure a daily handover is carried out to the next Shift Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to effectively plan, organise, and prioritise projects.
- Strong team player with proven leadership and motivational abilities.
Desirable
- Experience within a heavy industry such as foundry, recycling, or quarry and aggregates sectors.

Working Hours
48 hours per week, 4 shifts per week, rotating days and nights monthly.
