About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Leckhampton, a well-established small-animal practice in Cheltenham. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform surgical procedures, including orthopaedic surgeries, with a high level of skill and precision.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary nurses and other team members to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Participate in continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with a strong background in surgery, particularly orthopaedics.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with a clear understanding of their impact on clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
