We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic sourcing programs for defined categories across NHS Trusts.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and lead strategic sourcing programs for defined categories, ensuring alignment with the trust's procurement strategy and goals.
- Category Management: Manage and optimize category spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure contract compliance across all stakeholders, pursuing procurement excellence through efficient and effective procurement projects.
- Network Development: Work with the Category Director and team to develop networks and provide input into LPP projects, driving collaboration and innovation across the trust.
- Qualifications: Registered full Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent.
- Experience: Senior specialist A/I commercial / industry experience in procurement and supply in a senior management role, with significant senior procurement experience and a deep understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Skills: Strong people management, time management, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage, influence, and lead people, as well as manage and prioritize project activities.
