About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Lead to join our team at ABL Health Ltd. As a key member of our project team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our health services in Stockport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Lead in the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide close support to the Project Lead, including coordinating staff, managing project deliverables, and tracking outcomes.
  • Lead on developing certain areas of the project according to the project plan, working closely with the Project Lead and other team members.
  • Support the Project Lead in assembling and coordinating staff to facilitate project delivery, including overseeing staff calendars and liaising with the admin team.
  • Perform session observations and feedback to staff, ensuring high-quality delivery of services.
  • Prepare and set up venues in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the curriculum/teaching resources and be confident in the delivery of such, ensuring effective service delivery.
Person Specification
  • Experience working in a relevant health or social care environment, with a strong understanding of integrated working practices.
  • Experience of leading/supporting other staff, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with overweight/obese adults, children/families, and/or experience of working with stop smoking adults.
  • A relevant degree and/or significant professional, health, social care, nutrition, or fitness experience.
  • Knowledge of smoking cessation and weight management evidence-based practice and treatment interventions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels, with individuals, groups, organisations, and the public.
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks and develop effective work streams both for oneself and individuals in teams.
  • Understanding concepts of behaviour change and how to implement these.
  • Understanding and evidence of adhering to information governance policies.
  • Skills/knowledge to utilise computer software, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • The ability to travel independently across Stockport, with occasional travel across the ABL Health Ltd footprint.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required, to meet service needs.
