We are seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fawkes & Reece South. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with tendering and procurement processes to ensure the best value outcome for our clients.
- Provide administrative support to the site commercial team, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Contribute to the management of project risks and opportunities, utilizing your knowledge and experience to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
- Prepare accurate costs estimates and financial reports to inform project decisions.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or a comparable qualification.
- Understanding of achieving the best value outcome through effective tendering and procurement processes.
- Ability to utilize past knowledge and experience to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
- Basic ability to read construction and pre-construction programs.
- Sufficient commercial acumen to make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with and ability to use MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports.
- A competitive salary up to £25k-£40K.
- A solid pipeline of work throughout multiple sectors.
