About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst - Finance Business Partner to join our Global IT function. As a key member of our Finance Business Partnering team, you will play a critical role in supporting budgeting and forecasting for National Grid's Global IT organisation.

Your primary responsibilities will include owning the Global IT financial forecasting models, tracking key metrics, reporting on financial results, developing and presenting business commentary, and performing ad hoc analyses to support the management of the Global IT and Digital function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide financial support to executive leadership and other key customers, enabling them to make informed decisions through effective reporting, comprehensive analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives, projects, and operational changes.
  3. Pivot to address ad hoc requests as they arise, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience; an MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
  2. At least 3 years of Finance-related experience, with a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  3. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in SAP, SAC, Alteryx, PowerBI, and financial modelling, data consolidation, and data analysis.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
