The Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Shop Manager to support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch. The successful candidate will be a role model of exemplary behavior and high performance, with a real passion for delivering results and driving the business agenda forwards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in developing strategies to increase our customer pool, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability.
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff.
- Support with store administration and banking, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Work with Store Manager to identify buying trends, customer needs, etc.
- Support Store Assistants with training needs and building career paths.
- Deal with issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc).
- Review sales and stock targets.
- Previous retail experience (preferably management).
