Job Opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of risk assessment and risk management, as well as supervising reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment and risk management
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings
  • Participate in the 1 in 6 telephone on-call rota
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes
  • Committed to continued professional development
