We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Planner to join our team in Witham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the management of the Company's fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring continuous roadworthiness and compliance to current legislation, obligations, and undertakings.
- Have a clear understanding of the Company's policies, procedures, and vision and how the Transport and Fleet Departments contribute to these.
- Ensure that Drivers' Hours and Working Directive Regulations are adhered to by all drivers and mobile workers, and that accurate records are maintained in accordance with the Company's legal obligations.
- Ensure the fleet ownership and maintenance are correctly maintained, and that all vehicles and trailers are properly inspected and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers' and suppliers' guidelines and the Company's legal obligations.
- Maintain the insurance records, fleet records, and DVSA records of all changes to the fleet size, number of vehicles, and trailers, and their identification.
- Experience planning express or same-day van drivers.
- Knowledge of Vehicle weights and legal limits.
- Understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive Regulations.
- Operators' Licence obligations, undertakings, and Regulations.
- Strong and decisive leader with excellent communication skills.
