About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Care solicitor to join our team at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. As a key partner in our improvement journey, our Legal Service has received considerable investment and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support the council's vision for the residents and communities of Rotherham.
  • Work closely with the current team to build on their success and provide an outstanding service.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial property matters, including planning and highways law.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the council's departments and services.
Requirements
  • Post-qualification experience as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate.
  • Experience in a local authority setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to develop existing property-related experience, especially in relation to commercial property matters.
  • Experience of planning and/or highways law would be desirable but not essential.
