Key Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple projects across different sectors, including local government and public agencies.
- Contributing to business development initiatives.
- Building and maintaining client relationships while ensuring project delivery alongside senior team members.
- Overseeing project management and contract administration for larger assignments.
- Conducting condition assessments and measured surveys.
- Designing and executing small to medium-scale projects.
- Performing due diligence assessments.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior Building Surveyors.
- Adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Delivering defect analysis, building surveys, reports, and specifications.
- Engaging in the APC programme.
- Networking to cultivate business opportunities and enhance the company's local presence.
- Leading design teams and managing projects.
- Acting as the principal designer in line with company protocols.
- Delivering comprehensive project management services.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hon's) in Building Surveying, RICS Accredited degree or equivalent.
- Full membership in The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, MCIOB, or similar (preferred).
- Extensive surveying experience with strong client-facing and business development skills.
- Proven experience in project design and management for refurbishment and extension projects.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficient in IT applications, including Word and Excel.
- AutoCAD proficiency is essential; experience with Revit is a plus.
- Capability to manage and develop team members effectively.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including CDM 2015.
- Prior experience as a Principal Designer is advantageous.
