Role Overview:
The Solar Project Coordinator will manage the execution and delivery of large-scale photovoltaic solar
initiatives throughout the UK. This position entails guiding the team through all phases of the project - from
initial planning to final implementation - while ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
Key Duties:
1. Lead and inspire a high-performing team, promoting a constructive work atmosphere.
2. Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and outline the scope of work for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms, as well as engage in subcontractor selection and
negotiations.
3. Assess potential solar locations and assist in the due diligence process.
4. Act as the Project Coordinator for EPC on photovoltaic solar initiatives, supervising design evaluations, change
management, and permitting processes.
5. Track construction advancement, modify timelines, and resolve challenges.
6. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
7. Oversee project documentation, quality assurance, and both internal and external reporting.
8. Aid in the formulation of policies, procedures, and safety management frameworks.
9. Cultivate and sustain relationships with subcontractors, utility companies, and clients.
Essential Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience in project coordination, particularly in EPC construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Primavera P6.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel and possess a valid UK driving licence.
- Demonstrated capability to achieve business goals, manage budgets, and navigate change orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification or a degree in relevant disciplines.
- Background in Electrical Engineering and strong leadership capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £67,000 annually
