Lead Electrical Engineer for Manufacturing Operations

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance, servicing, and enhancement of all electrical systems essential for manufacturing processes. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring the safety of personnel and the seamless operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the electrical functionality of all site equipment and services.
- Provide expert technical guidance while ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
- Assist with high voltage switching requirements and scheduling.
- Select and oversee contractors for various projects.
- Generate engineering documentation including permits, risk assessments, and training materials.
- Conduct Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training for maintenance personnel, including refreshers and audits.
- Procure electrical components such as high voltage, low voltage, variable speed drives, and programmable logic controllers.
- Replace outdated components and conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns.
- Offer ongoing technical support and mentorship to electrical engineers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification.
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution in a manufacturing context.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Highly organized with exceptional communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- High Voltage Qualification AP15 is a plus; training may be provided.
