This position demands a high degree of vigilance, integrity, and the capability to manage potentially high-pressure situations with composure.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour contributions as a Relief Security Officer will include:
- Reporting directly to the onsite Supervisor, you will be stationed at a significant site for a global leader in defense, aerospace, and security.
- You will be instrumental in safeguarding critical information across air, maritime, land, and cyber sectors.
- Your duties will involve securing the premises, company assets, and the safety of visiting clients and employees.
- Conducting regular patrols throughout a large facility, both internally and externally, will be essential.
- You will oversee a static guardhouse and manage visitor sign-ins.
- Maintaining a high level of alertness to identify and deter any suspicious or threatening behavior is crucial.
- As a Security Officer, you will maintain control over any threatening situations until law enforcement or external agencies arrive.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, including documenting and reporting any hazards, is required.
- You will operate communication devices and other security equipment utilized on site.
- Conducting preliminary investigations and providing both verbal and written reports on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles will be part of your role.
- Responsibilities will also include mobile patrolling, access control, CCTV monitoring, and other site-specific tasks.
To excel as a Relief Security Officer, you should possess:
- Experience in a Corporate Security setting is preferred.
- A current SIA Front Door License or a willingness to undergo training for professional certification.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to convey authority.
- The ability to remain composed and uphold professionalism at all times.
- A resilient attitude towards security responsibilities.
- Vigilance and alertness, with a cautious and inquisitive approach to your duties.
- A clear 5-year checkable employment history.
- Compliance with strict UK right to work criteria due to the nature of the industry.
- Basic computer literacy, including email usage and two-way radio operation.
