Exciting Opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be supporting an Independent Planning Consultancy on the hire of a Graduate Town Planner to their team in Oxfordshire.

The successful Graduate Town Planner will be part of an independent, evolving planning practice, delivering exceptional service to clients and landowners and providing assistance on projects predominantly in the Tourism & Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Agricultural, Country Estate and Strategic Land Development sectors.

In this role, you will work alongside sector-leading professionals, helping you to grow and progress your career. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing assistance in preparing planning applications
  • Attending client meetings
  • Attending site visits
  • Drafting desk-based appraisals
  • Maintaining ongoing monitoring activities

Requirements

  • An RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline
  • Previous work experience that can come from a work placement or be currently employed
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to seek support and assistance from senior colleagues when needed
  • Good client liaison skills
  • Project management skills
  • Solid report writing skills
  • Understanding of the UK planning process
