Trainee Traffic Installation Technician
Telent Ltd is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join its team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Walsall and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role that requires a full UK driving license and the ability to travel across the regions and work in various weather conditions.
As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced Traffic Installers to install, maintain, and test Traffic Signals and electrical components and equipment. You will receive a structured training program that includes on-the-job learning, desk-based training, and online learning to help you progress towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Highways Electrical Installations (led by LANTRA) and NVQ Level 3.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and testing of Traffic Signals and electrical components and equipment
- Work closely with experienced Traffic Installers to develop skills and knowledge
- Participate in on-the-job learning, desk-based training, and online learning to achieve NVQ qualifications
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Previous experience in electrical installations or a holder of an electrical course/diploma
- Good communication skills and ability to use a tablet/computer
