About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Stock Control Clerk to join our team at the Wigan Distribution Centre. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of our stock levels and inventory control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of goods in paperwork to ensure compliance with process and respond to account payable claims.
  • Optimize warehouse layout to maximize efficiency and productivity, including putaway algorithms and pick sequence.
  • Utilize reports on report manager/JDA solutions and Oracle to maintain KPI targets for net adjustments and full cyclical counts of the warehouse.
  • Manage short-dated/QA and aged stock, collaborating with trading and buying teams.
  • Perform quality checking/spot checking of picked pallets, meeting set targets and recording information.
  • Coordinate with internal/external departments, including offsite storage delivery and return.
  • Report weekly/monthly statistics and participate in projects within stock control.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to support and grow, sharing knowledge to improve performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous stock control experience is essential.
  • Experience working with IT systems and a fast-paced working environment.
  • Excellent numerical skills, experience with WMS systems, Excel, and Word.
