What the successful Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician can expect:
- Competitive salary of up to £42,000 for day shifts and £56,000 for night shifts, based on experience.
- Flexible working hours with a rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday, including alternate weeks of early and late shifts. Saturday shifts are required every other week.
- Night shifts available from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday call-outs.

Key Responsibilities of the Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of HGVs.
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs on various vehicle makes and trailers to VOSA standards.
- Diagnose and resolve a wide range of mechanical issues.
- Provide roadside assistance for disabled vehicles.
- Handle all vehicles with care, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the parts department to source necessary components.
- Follow Health & Safety regulations and maintain safe working practices.
- Accurately complete job cards and service sheets in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and participate in training sessions.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or substantial experience in vehicle repair and maintenance - ESSENTIAL.
- HGV and PSV driving licenses are DESIRABLE.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Experience working in a commercial workshop environment.
