About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Arqiva Ltd. As a key member of our engineering operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our utilities systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and maintain the full range of systems and networks within our operating environment.
  • Conduct testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operating policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of projects through the provision of technical advice, installation, and commissioning support and service transition.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks.
  • Proactively monitor networks to provide incident management for 2nd line services.
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements.
Requirements
  • A working knowledge of Splunk, Log Insight, Comarch, SolarWinds, vRealize Network Insight, vRealize Operations Manager, along with Cisco and Linux experience.
  • Computer Networks - knowledge and experience in the techniques and applications of computer network systems, ethernet and IP technology, network components, server systems, virtualisation, and remote access technology.
  • Continuous Improvement – knows and applies tools and techniques to drive improvements in engineering operations.
  • Regulation and Standards – understands relevant regulatory, industry, and customer standards, including customer service level agreements.
  • Safety, Health and Environment - understands and applies legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to role.
  • System Architecture - understands the principles of design, architecture, development, and maintenance of utilities systems and networks.
  • Systems and Equipment – experience of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems and data networks.
  • An understanding of Service Management Processes to ITILv4 Foundation.
  • An understanding of Radio Access Networks, Regional Network Interface, Core Networks.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies involved in Radio Networks, M2M & E2E Communications, data collection & processing and management.
