Fleet Manager Responsibilities- Assist the Fleet Manager with day-to-day driver management and develop a training program for the driving team.
- Ensure road safety and compliance across all sites through regular audits and verification of driver's hours regulations.
- Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant filing of paperwork and conduct at least 3 base audits per week.
- Train staff to use the R2C system and monitor its usage, addressing any issues that arise.
- Oversee incident reporting and insurer referrals, and lead pre-production base compliance meetings.
- Interview and select employees, ensuring a positive induction to the company, and maintain relationships with sub-contractors, agency staff, and clients.
- Identify and implement site operational efficiency improvements and manage the Driver Training and Assessing team.
- Fleet/Transport Manager International CPC qualification and knowledge of Operator Licence Regulations.
- Experience of providing exceptional customer service and compliance auditing processes.
- Flexible working hours to ensure contact time with day, evening, and weekend shifts, and good analytical and numerical skills.
- Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Fleet Maintenance Systems, training experience, and/or a recognised Health & Safety qualification.
- Use of a company van and fuel card, with fuel benefit tax (P11d) and private health insurance scheme after 2 years' service.
- 28 days paid holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) increasing with each year of service, company pension scheme, life assurance cover, and access to an employee assistance programme.
- Informal reward scheme and free eye tests.
