Job Title: Apprentice Surveyor - Commercial Property Pathway

Job Summary: We are seeking an Apprentice Surveyor to join our Valuation team in Bristol. As an Apprentice Surveyor, you will play a key role in conducting valuation instructions, working directly with lead surveyors on a wide range of properties throughout the south west region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the conducting of valuation instructions, working directly with lead surveyors on a wide range of properties.
  • Shadow experienced surveyors to gain knowledge and skills.
  • Assist on site inspections, including photography and measuring buildings.
  • Set up new instructions and support on a variety of valuation work.
  • Collect and interrogate evidence to support valuations, including planning information.
  • Assist in valuation calculations where experience allows.
  • Provide general assistance in department and office administration.
  • Attend training and continuous professional development (CPD) events to support learning and professional growth.

Training and Development: We offer comprehensive training and coaching to support your learning and professional growth. This includes:

  • Shadowing experienced colleagues.
  • One-to-one coaching.
  • Attending relevant training courses (internal and external).
  • Attending industry CPD events.
  • E-learning for H&S/Compliance requirements.

Off-the-job Training and Assessment: You will receive off-the-job training through the University College of Estate Management (UCEM), achieving a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management. Upon completion, you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence, leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor (Commercial Property Practice).

Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • Obtained 96 UCAS tariff points or equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications.
  • Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical.
  • Hold a current RICS Associate qualification (AssocRICS).
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (Grade 4 for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England) or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
