Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Alzheimer Scotland. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with dementia in a community group and day care setting.

About the Role

Our Support Workers are the backbone of our organisation, providing front-line support to individuals with dementia. You will work closely with our team to provide personalised support, enabling individuals to maintain their skills and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals with dementia in a community group and day care setting
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalised support plans
  • Support individuals to maintain their skills and independence
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with dementia

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a positive approach to dementia, good communication skills, and a caring attitude. A willingness to learn and participate in training is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
