In this role, you will engage with advanced instrumentation and control systems within a highly regulated and varied environment, enhancing your existing skill set. Your primary duties will encompass the maintenance, repair, and installation of essential equipment that supports safety and operational efficiency.
Compensation: Approximately £35,000 (based on experience) plus additional allowances, leading to a gross salary typically exceeding £40,000 (including On-Call and overtime compensation).

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of site control and instrumentation systems, including but not limited to pressure, flow, temperature, level, pneumatic systems, PLCs, and control systems.
- Working with functional safety systems, including Safety Integrated Systems (SIS) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) equipment.
- Implementing safe work systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards.
- Exhibiting professional communication skills with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Conducting technical investigations and producing reports to support modifications, unusual occurrences, or design assessments.
- Assisting with additional tasks such as installation, commissioning, and capital projects as needed.
- Providing support for an On-Call Rota to ensure 24/7 system maintenance (additional allowances apply).
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess an engineering apprenticeship with at least an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in a relevant technical field or an NVQ/Diploma Level 2 combined with industrial experience.
Applicants must be prepared to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance and complete specific training for designated site areas.
