Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all client site and health and safety procedures are followed at all times, demonstrating a high level of care for team members and customers.
  • Adhere to method statements and risk assessments when on site, prioritizing the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Deliver goods and arrive on site on time, as agreed with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and their subcontractors to ensure their satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Exercise problem-solving skills on site and use initiative to resolve customer queries directly.
  • Provide accurate reports to line management using company procedures upon completion of each assignment.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in excellent condition, adhering to the Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Obtain sign-off from customers on completion of each assignment, verifying satisfaction and training customers on the best use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required, including occasional workshop duties when site work is limited.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical or electrical installations and repairs, with conveyor experience being advantageous.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong determination to deliver exceptional service in all situations.
  • Willingness to learn new skills as the role evolves and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Availability for work-away assignments across the UK and willingness to work variable shift patterns, including night work, weekends, and double shifts.
  • Excellent practical and mechanical skills, with the ability to use power tools effectively.
  • Permits to operate powered access equipment and scaffold towers, with experience working at height being essential.
  • Full driving license with a minimum number of points.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £29,718 - £34,983 (DOE), based on a 45-hour week, with the potential to work up to 60 hours and receive overtime pay.
  • Overtime rate paid at x1.5 after 10 hours within the working month.
  • Working away opportunities, with a £75 per night bonus, as well as a Premier Inn and meal deal provided.
  • A cost of living bonus of approximately £250 per month, payable after completing a 3-month probation period.
