About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packing Operative to join our team at RSK Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for packing materials to a high standard, adhering to safe working procedures and meeting daily targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Packing Operations: Pack materials to an acceptable quality standard, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Target Achievement: Meet daily packing targets, and record any reasons for non-compliance.
  • Machinery Maintenance: Replenish packing machinery, including the Manipulator and stretch wrap, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Issue Reporting: Report any issues with Tata machinery or equipment to Tata leaders in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with the MSS Packing Coordinator and Contracts Manager.
Requirements
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Packing Process Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of packing processes and procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain systematic records and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embody a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Forklift Operation: Possess a valid forklift truck operation certification (in-house training provided).
