Senior Ecologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at Talent Torch. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ecological surveys, including Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species scoping, and bat surveys.
  • Produce comprehensive reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and biodiversity management plans.
  • Liaise with clients and statutory consultees to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Attend client and site meetings.
  • Undertake the Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) role when required.
Requirements:
  • A degree in ecology or a related field.
  • Significant professional experience in report writing.
  • Strong understanding of ecological legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in Phase 1 habitat surveys.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and flexibility to travel across the UK.
  • A full driving licence and your own transport.
