Due to a robust pipeline of projects in the region and exciting new opportunities with our clients, we are seeking a Principal Wastewater Network Modeller to enhance our Newcastle office.
You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team comprising 110 professionals from Stantec, spread across 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, working alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners to deliver projects across the UK and Ireland.
This position offers a unique chance to join an innovative group of modellers, contributing to long-term frameworks while engaging in industry-leading projects.
ABOUT YOU
To qualify for this role, you should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and be a member of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. You will have substantial experience leading projects in urban drainage environments. Successful candidates will showcase technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling activities.
Your role will involve providing guidance, training, and promoting staff development and well-being within the discipline.
Additionally, you will participate in the planning, programming, and coordination of urban drainage projects, ensuring excellence in delivery, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (both external and internal), and establishing connections within the industry.
Furthermore, you will have experience in managing and developing our personnel, demonstrating the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team while providing technical leadership in an urban drainage context, with a strong focus on client service.
