About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Digital & Information Officer to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our digital transformation efforts and ensuring that our technology systems support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our digital strategy, aligning with the Trust's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, reliable, and meets the needs of our staff and patients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Trust to ensure that our technology systems are integrated and support the delivery of seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure that our digital functions are maintained in the event of a disaster.
- Ensure that our data is secure and compliant with relevant legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Provide expert guidance and support to our staff on the use of technology systems and digital tools.
- Work closely with our clinical teams to ensure that our technology systems support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience of working in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and architecture, including electronic patient records systems.
- Experience of developing and implementing digital strategies, aligning with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to travel to various Trust sites, as required.
