We are currently seeking a Field Mechanical Technician to become a part of our welcoming team. This position is accessible to candidates from various locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Field Mechanical Technician, reporting to the Section Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Addressing equipment malfunctions promptly to ensure production continuity, with a focus on implementing lasting solutions.
- Performing urgent repair tasks efficiently on all operational machinery.
- Managing small-scale projects with a proactive and practical approach.
- Adopting a cost-effective mindset in maintenance tasks and coordinating with external contractors and suppliers.
- Engaging in root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Contributing to the enhancement of the engineering department through your insights and experiences.
- Collaborating on risk assessments and method statements, aiding in the development of safe repair procedures.
- Upholding and promoting Health & Safety regulations, adhering to all company protocols.
- Identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and practices through established company channels.
- Utilizing the computerized maintenance management system to document all tasks, including fault descriptions, parts utilized, and repairs performed.
The ideal candidate for the Field Mechanical Technician role will be self-driven, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently. Candidates should possess proven experience in an industrial or factory setting as a Mobile Technician. Suitable applicants will:
- Hold a recognized apprenticeship (preferably at a higher level).
- Have ONC/HNC qualifications (desirable but not mandatory).
- Demonstrate a solid background in mechanical systems, preferably in heavy industry, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Have experience in welding and fabrication, with the ability to replace bearings.
- Exhibit strong fault-finding skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Be adept at performing urgent repairs on all production machinery.
- Be IT proficient, capable of using standard applications and company systems.
- Be competent in application-based inspection methodologies.
- Be able to evaluate SHE risks associated with work activities and manage those risks effectively.
- Have knowledge of site-specific SHE protocols and safe working practices.
Candidates for the Field Mechanical Technician position should possess CPC certification or be willing to pursue training.
