About the Role

Macklin Care Homes is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team at Our Lady's Care Home in Belfast. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging activity program for our residents, enhancing their quality of life and promoting their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a range of activities and programs to cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to ensure seamless delivery of activities and programs.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and group activities, including personalized plans for residents.
  • Facilitate opportunities for residents to socialize and engage with each other.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and programs, including resident participation and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved or working towards).
  • Experience working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.
  • Knowledge of the Care of the Elderly Patients' Charter of Rights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
