Job Description

City Property (Glasgow) LLP is seeking a highly skilled Design and Safety Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the Technical Services department, this role will be responsible for championing Health and Safety and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert professional advice and recommendations to support the development of projects.
  • Develop and maintain project-level compliance strategies to ensure adherence to CDM regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence on the Principal Designer role across projects.
  • Support clients in discharging their duties under the CDM Regulations.
  • Review implications of procurement methods on CDM regulations.
  • Coordinate health and safety matters and conduct design reviews with team members.
  • Undertake other professional and technical duties related to vacant properties.
  • Represent the LLP in a professional manner, meeting with clients to form strong working relationships.
  • Ensure Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) or equivalent qualification.
  • Construction-related qualification to a minimum of HNC level.
  • Experience of undertaking Health and Safety duties in a construction-related environment.
  • Recognized professional qualification such as Chartered Engineer, Chartered Architect, or Chartered Building Surveyor.
  • Certified member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS) or similar.
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience of working on a diverse portfolio of non-domestic assets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client management skills and proficiency in Microsoft programs.
