Position Overview
This is a remarkable opportunity to engage in a research initiative funded by NIHR, focusing on the practicality of implementing a parenting intervention for individuals experiencing psychosis - known as the PIPPA study (Parenting Intervention for Parents with Psychosis in Adult Mental Health Services). This project is spearheaded by Dr. Lynsey Gregg and Dr. Anja Wittkowski. This position is particularly appealing to graduates in psychology who have a keen interest in adult mental health and research in this field.
Key Responsibilities
The primary objective of this role is to recruit study participants and carry out both pre-treatment and post-treatment evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. The research will take place across two NHS locations, and the successful candidate will be required to travel between these sites as necessary.
The position encompasses a variety of research tasks and the application of standardized clinical assessments (PANSS). The individual will collaborate closely with, and receive guidance from, seasoned academic professionals at the University of Manchester, including clinical psychologists.
