Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Biosciences at the University of Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules on degree programmes within the School of Life and Medical Sciences.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials for undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Contribute to the development of new programmes and modules, including Medicine and MSc Neuroscience
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, pedagogic research, and curriculum development
  • Participate in commercial activities for the School, as required
Key Requirements
  • PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant bioscience discipline
  • Senior Fellowship/Fellowship of Advance HE (desirable)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organisational skills
  • Demonstrable ability to undertake scholarly activities and/or conduct research in an area related to the department's research needs
Qualifications
  • A BSc (Hons) degree in Pharmacology or an equivalent bioscience-related subject
  • A Masters degree in a bioscience-related subject (for Senior Lecturer position)
