Backend Software Engineer / Senior Developer (Python API SaaS)

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer / Senior Developer to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our Agile team, you will contribute to the development of our AI and Machine Learning platform, used in the automotive sector for engine calibration.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop high-quality software and APIs with a focus on backend development
  • Work across the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver complex projects and meet business objectives
  • Provide code reviews, project leadership, and technical guidance to junior team members
  • Take ownership of particular projects, working independently and collaboratively

About You:

  • Strong software engineering background with OOP languages and experience with Python
  • Experience working on SaaS products and knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud computing services
  • Collaborative and excellent communication skills, with experience working in Agile teams
  • 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline, Computer Science or similar
