About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the early supported discharge of stroke patients and providing rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out rehabilitation programmes directed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Nurses, with regular reviews of patient goals and progression of rehabilitation programmes.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, service development, and housekeeping activities.
- Work collaboratively with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service to patients.
Requirements
- English fluency and GCSE Maths.
- Previous experience in a Healthcare or Allied Health Professional setting.
- Understanding of the day-to-day role of a Therapy Assistant and awareness of the roles of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
