About The Opportunity
HomeServe is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be actively pursuing their professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and may be nearing the completion of their exams.
This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in relation to Fixed Assets and Lease accounting standards. You will take charge of balance sheet management, necessitating a higher level of expertise and credentials.
Our work environment is hybrid, primarily remote, with a requirement to visit the office periodically for team collaboration. Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance.
The Financial Reporting & Control (FR&C) department oversees the financial accounting, reporting, control, and processing for HomeServe Membership and various other group entities.
The Senior Financial Accountant focusing on fixed assets will play a crucial role in preparing and reconciling all internal and external reports related to Fixed Assets, including inputs for statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, Carbon Emissions, and mandatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:Reconciliation Management - Generate monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Leases, Tangible, and Intangible fixed assets for review and approval by Senior Management.
